Craniosacral therapy developed from the work of an American osteopath, Dr William Sutherland in the early 1900s. He discovered intrinsic subtle movements of the bones in the head and his further research revealed that all cells in the body express rhythmic movements which are fundamental to life. Dr Sutherland named these rhythmic movements primary respiration. As a result of detailed clinical observation of fluids, tissues and organs it has become clear that these movements, which can be measured with delicate scientific instruments, are a direct expression of health and offer a way of restoring health when it has been compromised.

BENEFITS

RESTORING HEALTH

By mobilizing the subtle rhythmic motion in body areas where it has become stuck or depleted, craniosacral therapy can aid in the recovery from many illnesses and conditions.

ENHANCING HEALTH

When you are not feeling 100% or have the odd, bothersome symptom which no one can explain, a cranial treatment will ease tension and improve drainage and blood flow. You will feel lighter and more spacious at the physical and emotional level as more energy becomes available.

MAINTAINING HEALTH

Like a good diet and regular exercise, cranial sessions will support wellbeing and help you to maintain a positive outlook on life.

The best way to understand craniosacral therapy is to experience it.
